Folie a Deux

today I will be doing a review on the new Fall out Boy album:

Folie a Deux

the album has 13 songs including 6 bonus tracks

in this album they worked with a number of different artists to gve a bit of a different feel to the style they were known so well for.

they worked with, Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starship,Willam Beckett of The Academy Is,Brendon Urie of Panic At The Disco,Former Blondie singer Deborah Harry,and the amazing Guitarist John Mayer.

The top charter 'I Don't Care' had amazing lyrics and music, and lets be frank,on this album there was bound to be one.

I luhuve the song 'Pavlove' ,the music, the vocals, the lyrics,everything.

'Headfirst slide into coppertown on a bad bet' has great music but the beat is a bit too slow in some spaces.

'27' have the great lyrics and good vocals but the guitar solo is the best.

Brendon Urie's vocals impressed me in '20 dollar nose bleed'

in the remake of 'Beat it' was great.

John mayers skillfull guitar solo was noted, and Patrick Stump's vocals individualised the piece and made it there own.

the other songs such as 'Tiffany Blews' and the 'I Don't Care(remix)' were more pop than rock and somewhat disapointed me.

however I enjoyed their album anyway and I look forward to seeing them in february

The joys of early stocktale shopping..

today i went early morning shopping

theres lots of things to do from look at clothes and quilt covers ,

to laughing at people with funny hair.

but what i really want is a video camera...and im just buying these items to distract myself

into the wild

ive recently watched the movie "into the wild"

directed by Sean Penn

it was apparently 'one of the best movies of the season' quote

it must of been a preety shit season then,
its basically about this man who gets pissed of with his family coz they want to sell his car so he drives out to the desert and his car gets wrecked by a sandstorm.

so he thinks to himself "hmm, my cars turned to shit and im in the middle of no where with no food or a phone, what should i do? I KNOW!! I'LL BURN ALL MY MONEY !!!

we all get in one of those 'i hate the world and everything in it' days ,but really .burning money?

so then he travels around for a bit ad decides ,"hey maybe i should have some sort of goal.....I'LL GO TO ALASKA!!

so eventually he gets to Alaska after mooching off some stoners, and kristen stewart trying to seduce him .(gosh life is hard!)

but he eats a whole bag of rice..

and then he has no food left...

so he shoots a 'elk'(wtf?), and is ripping it apart when the flies attack!!!

and lay maggots in it..so he throws a massive tanti and decide to eat a squirrel(to ease the guilt of killing the 'elk')

after that he decides he wants to be a vegetarian(after killing 3 more 'elk')

so hes rummaging throgh the forest and picks up some weird retarded root thingos.

He eats them.

and ends up passing out.

he wakes up in the morning and radomly finds a 'native fruits guide'

and finds out that its 'poisonous' and then croaks it a few days later...

wat an ending...

i guess the moral of this story is don't sweat the small stuff..

or you die of root poisoning...

its not that i dont enjoy christmas its just that it seems such a hassle for one day.

my grandparents and great grandparent only live for streets away, and if i was in parents position our christmas morning would be quite like the start of 'everybody loves raymond'

lets start of explaining what happens every christmas.

I get woken up by sam

i go into the lounge room

wait an hour for everyone to arrive

open presents

go to my grandparents house

wait to hours while sitting in a tub peeling potatoes

get dressed trying to scrub the raw potato smell off

endure hours of consant talking about how old i am

tolerate uncle anthony's jokes that have sexual implications.

and be told to laugh by someone poking my back with a spoon

be called bridget at least three times by great gran.

be hugged to tight by auntie deb,

i swear ill need a spine replacement by 2012

be blown away by auntie mardi's constant loud laughing.

i end this day by falling asleep in my tub of empty potatoes, as there is no where else to sit.



so as you can see i don't really enjoy christmas ,

if it was my choice i would only skip it

but it would turn out just like that movie 'christmas with the kranks'

Twilight

lets start off today with a review:

The popular novel "twilight " was released in movie form yesterday in Australia.

With lead stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, too very talented actors.

As most people know the movie is about a teenager ,Bella The new girl at school.Who starts to have an infatuation with a god like boy at her school.

The movie was highly expected to be one of the most highly rated films of the year.

To tell you that I was not thrilled with the performance of the main actress.

Bella(Stewart) seemed to have the emotional range of a brick wall.Seriously i would rather go stare at the bathroom tiles than watch her performance again.

and Edward(Pattinson) was an almost perfect , gorgeous vamp.

He blew me away with his amazing attention to detail and skill.

He did way better than the expectations for Kristen , and the former Harry Potter star should have more scripts being sent his way soon.

Jacob Black (Talor Lautner) did an amazing performance for such a short role despite his ugly long hair.

The energy he put in his character was great, and I look forward to seeing him in the next film.

The Camera angles were quite good at some parts and but the some of the special effects and action shots do need dome work, hopefully that will be worked out with the new director and all.

pissed off and slightly confused:mainly with dodge..

entirely entertained and the sick and tired:when grillz glove boyfriend exploded in the middle of karoake, possibly more entertaining then karoake.

again amused:with cappo when she she popped her glove boyfriend.

smiley:when Juju wouldn't let anyone touch george,her glove boyfriend.

sick:when i saw the amount of icing being made when we were making biscuits.
